Time for a swim while anchored in Ormos Kapali, Meganisi

En-route Meganisi to Kalamos with the tiny islet of Ak Elia, Meganisi behind us

Approaching Ak Kefali at the southern end of Kalamos

Turning into Steno Kalamos (Kalamos Channel) for our first stop at Port Leone

A line ashore to the small jetty below the village.
Port Leone is uninhabited and was abandoned after an earthquake in 1953.

View of the bay at Port Leone - the cream coloured church is the only building that has been rebuilt since the earthquake and is visited by a few locals on Sundays.

It is time to leave Port Leone and it is only a 20 minute motor up the coast to Port Kalamos

Port Kalamos on Kalamos

There was only six visiting boats that overnighted in Port Kalamos and made it a very peaceful stop for the night. There is a couple of excellent restaurants at the south end of the harbour.

Next morning we leave Port Kalamos and sail to One House Bay on the island of Nisis Atoko.

Bit of a magnet for boats but still a very pleasant spot to anchor.

After a long lunch it is time to leave One House Bay and set course for Port Vathi on Ithaca.

We berthed at the marina in the northern part of the inner harbour. It does a mean a 20-minute walk into town (not a problem!) but is more quiet in the evening. There is also a fairly reasonable restaurant by the marina. A man in a truck comes around in the morning to top up your water tank, if you require it, as well.
